This April, I had the sincere pleasure of working with some really talented people to create my very first collaborative styled bridal shoot.
The inspiration for this shoot all started when I first visited Megan at her Vancouver Gastown flower shop, Olla Urban Flower Project . Not only was the flower shop a beautiful heritage space, with amazing floor to ceiling windows, exposed brick and ancient wood floors; Megan’s flower arrangements just blew me away. So original and beautiful. Not to mention Olla Flowers uses local/ethically traded/farm grown flowers, and gives back to the local community! Yeah, this girl is good.
We used some edwardian era elements in the flower shop to create a somewhat Modern Classic feel to the photos. I love the vintage buttons on the bouquets, the ornate mirror, the tea cup terrariums, and the super cute gold jewelry box.
The gorgeous gowns are from Pure Magnolia; stunning, and eco-friendly! Patty uses sustainable fabrics for her gowns, and I’m seriously in love with both these dresses! The Jewelry designed by Leah Alexandra perfectly complements the gowns. I love it when brides are creative with their wedding jewelry – don’t be afraid of colour!
The lovely models Jennifer Walls and Kayla Anne Thomas captured my vision perfectly, and were so fun to work with!
And of course a big thanks to my husband, Dylan, who helped with anything I needed, and took some great behind the scenes photos that I will share soon!
All of these wonderful vendors and products are local to the Vancouver area, so a huge shout out to awesome Vancouver talent! Check them out!
