Scarlett // Vancouver Newborn Photography

Every now and then, I get to take photos of little tiny babies. This time I got to take photos of my very best friend’s little tiny baby – her first, and the first of my friends to have a baby! Needless to say, this was very exciting!
It involved an early morning flight to Edmonton to brave the 2ft of snow and -18 degree temperatures! But it was all worth it, especially when i got to snuggle with this warm little sweetheart.

Meet Scarlett =)

Foggy day baking…

When i woke up this morning the view out my patio window was of the city shrouded in a thick white fog. With no particular plans today, I thought it looked like a good day to do some baking.
I am by no means a cook or baker. Not even close – my extent in the kitchen usually ends with the frying pan. By my oven looked lonely today, so…

I actually think these might be my best (and tastiest) banana muffins to date! I was so impressed with myself that i decided to document these masterpieces and share them with the interwebs (okay, maybe not masterpieces…but they’re pretty good!).

What I’ve been up to the last two months….

After essentially a 2 month hiatus on all things business related (and most other things too!), I’m back!

What have I been doing the last 2 months? Well, mostly…honeymooning! For all of December! But i’ll get to that on another post…for now, the wedding =)

Getting married in September was one of the most amazing experiences. The wedding day was perfect. We had fun, we laughed, we danced…I couldn’t have imagined it being more fun.
Dylan and I were married in my parents back yard (which proves you don’t need to live out in the valley to have a beautiful backyard wedding – my parents live in Burnaby!) It took many hours of hard work getting the yard in top shape for the wedding, but it was worth it. Not only did it look beautiful, I can also have the memory of having been married in my childhood back yard (under the apple tree, no less!!)

Here are a few shots from our wedding, photographed by the amazing Rebecca Sehn.

There were a lot of very awesome people who helped make our wedding so amazing:

Photography Rebecca Sehn
Videography Modern Romance Productions
Flowers Celsia Florist
Make up Make up by Rae
Hair Wedded Bliss
Reception Venue Diamond Alumni Centre
Violin Phyllis Ho

And a whole lot of DIY with some amazing family & friends.
